Beautiful Detail
My mom makes these birthday cake toppers with some of the most beautiful and intricate detail that you’ve ever seen. She went into business for herself about 20 years ago and has made a fortune with these things. All of the high-profile weddings around the area come flocking to her for her incredible designs, which sell for upwards of several hundred dollars. She also makes custom birthday candles, which are very artistic in their own right as well. She’s really done well for herself and has provided us with a wonderful lifestyle, which is utterly beyond compare.
But every year for her birthday it’s really hard to come up with something unique to get her. She does this for a living so there’s really no way to surprise her, so what all of us have to do is try to find the most meaningful gift that we can and give it to her. Last year we wore these wild birthday hats and I gave her a lovely set of knives and silver flatware. She never really had any of these so she was incredibly grateful to me, and I even saw her wipe a tear away when she set them aside.
